Air Ambulance:
Air Ambulance has become a lucrative business based on the expense of the vulnerable patient. Their prices can be inflated up to 700%, when sometimes their service is not even needed as it can be covered by ground ambulance without putting at risk the patient.
Always know what are your options and the risks associated to each.
Ask the hospital if they have their own air ambulances or if they contract private companies. Private companies are usually more liberal when charging their clients.
